The purpose of Wilrick Institute of Technology, Inc. is to prepare the student for certification by the International Code Council (ICC) , of which some categories are sponsored by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), and the International Fire Code Institute (IFCI).

In addition Wilrick's program is intended to provide students the skills to be gainfully employed in the special inspection industry and be adequately equipped to contribute effectively in maintaining high standards expected of potential employers.

There are several licenses one can prepare for:

	Prestressed Concrete
	Structural Masonry
	Structural Steel/Welding
	Fireproofing
	ACI Field Technician- Grade1

Installation, maintenance and repair jobs have a predicted expansion of 11.4 percent with 657,000 additional jobs over the same time period.
