About the Courses

The courses are designed to effectively educate students by using various instructional media. The codes used in these courses include: Uniform Building Code, and various American Welding Society (AWS) codes.

Course fee includes study and reference material unless indicated otherwise.  Also all courses include workshop, reading assignments, homework and examinations. Instructors are professional engineers and/or licensed inspectors. Developed to serve the needs of the construction industry, architects, engineers, testing and inspection agencies, building departments, and rehabilitation counselors, these courses fit the attendee's busy schedules and serve the demand for quality education in challenging and exciting field.

Special inspection classes are generally held on weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Structural Plan Reading classes are generally held on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Classes are held at our facility located at 3437 Myrtle Ave., Suite 390 in North Highlands. Tutorials are designed to serve special needs of the individuals who lack experience or who are weak in certain technical aspects, such as structural plan reading and code interpretation. Students enrolled in tutorials also receive other benefits including free evaluation, excellent student teacher ratio, labor market information, effective job seeking skills training, placement assistance, and monthly progress reports. Tutorials are generally held on Monday 8:30-1:00 p.m. (WILRICK RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ALTER CLASS DATES AND TIMES.)

Enrollment, however, is limited due to small class sizes, and registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. A certificate will be awarded at the end of each program based upon successful completion.

These courses described in this brochure can also be tailored to meet the in-house training requirements of organizations.

Upon completing each course, the registrant should:
